In 2012, MacEwen Agricentre constructed the first modern feed mill that Eastern Ontario has seen in 50 years. Our state-of-the-art facility includes two Andritz expanders, which improve the production process and quality of feed pellets. The Andritz expander uses extreme pressure, high temperatures and added moisture to bring about a range of key benefits such as:

Our advanced expander technology achieves targeted results through extreme pressure, temperature and humidity. The expander treatment kills pathogenic germs, and modifies starches and protein more intensively to be better utilized by the animal.
